CASE STUDY: BatFast’s activation with Hankook Tires at the MLB All-Stars event

BatFast’s portable sports offering called ‘BatFast Tour‘ made it’s entry to the West Coast of the United States in July this year for the MLB All-Stars Event. 

The following is a case study on the activation for Hankook Tires during the MLB All-star game fanzones. Read on to understand more about how BatFast Tour works, its application during the event, and how it adds value to our clients. 


From the 16th – 19th of July, as part of the All-Star Weekend, a BatFast Baseball Simulator was installed in partnership with Hankook Tires, the Official Tire of MLB. The activation took place at the iconic LA Dodgers Stadium where BatFast helped deliver a fully digital white-labeled experience, with custom graphics, stadium, and scoring system. Powered by BatFast the Hankook Baseball Simulator was housed within a branded aluminum truss structure, delivered by our Events Partner.

The event aimed to engage with people of all ages and experience levels and provide a never-seen-before experience for fans in the US. The focus for the event was on throughput and maximizing both eyeballs on the Hankook brand also increasing engagement and participation with surrounding activities. 


Hankook Tires are an Official Partner of MLB and when executing its vision for the space it was crucial to provide a link between its brand and the organization’s affiliation with the sport of baseball. Emphasis was placed on promoting Hankook’s new range of EV tires by creating an eye-catching experience and a great atmosphere with high throughput to engage with as many fans as possible. The branded aluminum truss structure paid homage to the legendary Dodgers stadium and the custom graphics showed Hankook branded advertising boards with a pitcher in Hankook colours for fans to step up to the plate and face. 


Across the three days, the Hankook Baseball Simulator was enjoyed by over a thousand fans and delivered thousands more pitches. Hankook gave positive feedback to both product and execution and discussions for future work will be on the horizon. The Hankook area was one of the busier zones at the event and the client was left happy with both the magnetism of the area created but also the promotional platform created for their EV tires.
