On Saturday, the 2nd of July, our cricket simulator we were part of a charity cricket match held by Lady Taverners and Centre Point at the Lord's Cricket ground (aka Home of Cricket). The All Star cricket match was being challenged for the Petterson trophy that was won by Centre Point the previous year.

Friends of Avanti House Summer Fair

The weather could not have been any better to be part of such a successful event hosted by the Friends of Avanti House committee. We were really happy to have helped the school raise funds for their new project and hope to be part of such events in the near future. The Batfast simulator was among the key attractions that kept the crowd entertained throughout the day.

Natwest T20 Blast Ageas Bowl Cricket Simulator Fan Zone

The Ageas Bowl is home to Hampshire Cricket, and on 18th and 25th June 2016, they hosted the Natwest T20 Blast matches against Sussex Cricket and Gloucestershire Cricket respectively, which we were a part of. Despite rain causing both matches to be abandoned, the fans found other sorts of activities to keep them busy. That included the Batfast Cricket Simulator, Bouncing Castles, Animal Greetings and getting entertained with Reggae music by the legend Ivan J.

Queen’s 90th Cricket Street Festival

On 9th June 2016, we were part of the event that celebrated the Queen's 90th Birthday at the Thame, in Oxford. It was held by the Manoj Parmar Cricket Academy and we were glad to be a big part of the event. Despite the cloudy and rainy forecast, the fans of the sport did not disappoint with their presence as they came out in numbers to cheer the young lads who played gully (street) cricket. Manoj Parmar, who has previously played for the Indian National team and is the founder of MP Sports Cricket Academy was the brains of this event and no one was let down.

Weston Super Mare CC vs Lashings All Stars 2016

On Sunday 1st May, Lashings All Stars played Weston Super Mare Cricket Club, in a game that saw debuts for Ashes 2005 heroes Geraint Jones and Simon Jones. Lashings All Stars dominated proceedings both with the bat and the ball, the highlight performer being Darren Maddy who scored a quickfire 77 of just 45 balls.  Despite the weather being off, Weston Super Mare CC fans turned out in large numbers and made the day really great.  Their players also put on a courageous fight in trying to chase down a large score posted by Lashings All Stars.  It proved a tad bit too much however, and they fell short by quite a distance.
